What will you do?

As a Mechanic, you will be involved in the repair and maintenance of various ships. You ensure that the work at the shipyard is carried out professionally, safely, and according to schedule. You’ll perform repairs and assembly tasks on different parts of the ship, ranging from engines and piping systems to structural components.

• You make sure your work is completed neatly and on time.

• Since no two ships or repairs are the same, you actively think of solutions when unexpected situations arise.

• You discuss these solutions with the foreman and colleagues to ensure the work continues safely and efficiently.

• Additionally, you carefully inspect your own work and ensure everything complies with current safety regulations and quality standards.

Who are you?

• You have a vocational diploma (MBO) in a technical field, preferably mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, or a similar discipline.

• You have experience as a mechanic, preferably in the maritime sector.

• You have a practical mindset and an eye for quality.

• You enjoy working as part of a team and are always ready to help colleagues.

• You always work with a strong focus on safety.
